Haiti Adoption
The Program
HAITI NOW ACCEPTING SINGLE WOMEN! Faithful Charities Foundation now places children from Haiti, into loving homes in the United States. Haiti is a wonderful country to adopt from, and it is so close! If a family would choose to travel to pick up their child, they would only fly two hours out of Miami. Or, as stated below, your child may be escorted into Miami.
Available Children
Infants and older children are available for adoption. There is a transitional home for those children who first become available for adoption where the child is treated for any contagious illnesses, parasites, etc. so that when she enters the main orphanage, she is not going to pass anything on to the other children. This keeps the main orphanage virtually free of scabies and other ailments. Children are also bathed twice a daily.
The Process
A child is selected by the adoptive parents from our secure website of available children as soon as the family's homestudy is completed. The adoptive parents may inquire about as many children as they would like before making their final decision. The time of adoption completion once dossier is submitted is 12 - 14 months.
Parent Eligibility
Applications from traditional, married couples that have been married for a minimum of FIVE years will be accepted. Single women that are at least 35 years in age will be accepted. Haiti requires that one parent be at least 30, and with an upper age limit of 55. Older parents may be asked to accept the match of an older child. A co-habitation couple must be able to prove living arrangement of at least 5 years. An eligible family may not have more than two children in the home when beginning the adoption process. Should you have more than two children in the home, and one or more have been adopted, Haiti may give your family permission to adopt. Siblings as well as non-related children may be adopted at the same time. There are no income or religious requirements for this program.
The Fees and Escort Service
Due to frequent unrest in the country of Haiti, an escort service is provided. The cost will be $1,000 plus the actual cost of the escort’s roundtrip airfare into Miami, meals, and a one night hotel stay. All things considered, our Haiti program is one of the least expensive programs.
