Russian Adoption
The Program
The Russian Program has been Faithful Adoption’s longest standing and most successful one. Because several members of our staff were born there, we have a wonderful relationship with our coordinators! Being able to speak the language and understand the customs and values of our regions is invaluable to our adoption process. Together we have placed many children from Russia with our families here in the United States. We anticipate a smooth adoption process into the foreseeable future.
Children from Russia
Children from Russia are Caucasian in ethnicity. Because a child must be legally declared as available for adoption first, a child will be at least 9 months old by the time they can be matched with a family. Parents requesting infants will have a child between one and two years old by the time they arrive home. Families may adopt unrelated children from Russia, siblings of all ages , older children, and special needs.
Parent Eligibility
Both married couples and single women may adopt from Russia. Parents up to the age of 50 may adopt a child of age three or younger. There is no length of marriage requirement for Russia. Please ask us if you have a concern about a previous legal record or health issue.
Adoption Process
The adoption process for Russia is very reasonable in length. An average adoption is complete in about nine months to a year from the time you submit the documents. After the completion of your paperwork, you will be given photos, medical information and in some cases a video on a child based on your preferences. If the information on the child is acceptable to you, you will travel to Russia to meet your child! If you accept your child, the legal process begins. You will need to return to Russia for the final court hearing and visa interview. Because these two meetings may be several weeks apart, families need to decide if one or both parent would like to return home in the meantime, or stay and foster their child. We will guide you through every step of the adoption and you will have assitance at all times here in the US and while in Russia.

We make every attempt to keep costs down, and believe our fee is one of the lowest available. Fees are paid in installments over time.
