Leaving ukraine with goods/items

You may leave Ukraine with the following without having to declare it: Cash equivalent to $3,000 or less, alcohol less than 2 liters, cigarettes less than 400, and caviar or sturgeon less than 250 gm.

Artwork, souvenirs, and handicrafts purchased at special stores for tourists may be taken out of Ukraine .  If you purchase an item such as a samovar somewhere other than a tourist store, you should obtain a receipt indicating that the item was bought in a store licensed to sell to foreigners.  If valuable items have not been cleared by cultural authorities in this way, they will likely be confiscated when you depart.  Make sure that culturally significant objects, such as antiques, icons, art, and rugs have a certificate stating that they have no historical value so that they will not be confiscated.
