Success Stories

I wanted a baby for as long as I can remember.

Since I was 16 years of age, I had thought about adopting a child. Finally , December 24 I decided I was going to adopt. I tried a private adoption first from Panama . It did not work out because of the attorney who was doing it. One day I was browsing the sites with the adoption information.

I hurried and got my paperwork and money in. I started the adoption process and people from Faithful Adoption were always near me whenever I needed. They helped me to have the entire Dossier done and I was looking forward to seeing my little child.

So I flew to Russia. I was met at the airpor,t and since the very first moment I saw these people, all my fears were gone. I knew that I would be helped. I felt so much warmth and so much of emotional support. I decided to stay in the so called ” home stay” which was an apartment with a Russian woman who cooked for me and took me shopping and sightseeing. And again I felt that I was not alone and was surrounded by the people who cared very much about me.

I flew in July. Everyone thinks Siberia is always cold. They are wrong. It was beautiful. It was over 90 everyday. I was very surprised how clean and well taken care of the orphanage was. I spent two days with one baby before I made my decision. All of the children are very small and slightly delayed, but they grow and learn quickly with love. For a week my baby boy, Gabriel, and I built a very strong bond.

This is the most important piece of advice for adopting parents: [when possible] do not pick out a picture of a child. You will fall in love with that picture, but a child from that picture in reality may not be falling love with you. Go and meet the children. You need to find one you can bond with. Some NEVER bond with people.

After a week was done I had to go home. I flew wondering when I would return for him.

The guys from Faithful Adoption worked really hard to make the second trip as fast as possible.

And a month later I was on my way back. I was afraid that he had forgotten me or would be angry at me for leaving. When we got to the orphanage I was so nervous and full of different thoughts. What if he did not even want to see me. ?!

The caregivers put a diaper on him and different clothes. When they handed him over to me, he looked at me and lept into my arms. He held onto me so tight that he actually left bruises. He remembered me! He was screaming when they took him away. I kept promising that I would be back. I visited him for two days. Then it was time for Court hearing. The judge sounded tough, but finally said it was final. I cried and cried. A couple of hours later we went to take Gabriel. Once again he jumped into my arms but this time it was forever.

This would not happen if Faithful Adoption did not help me in EVERYTHING.

They always were with me at the every moment of my adoption process, and I always felt their presence while I was preparing the documents at home and the more important thing when I was there in the region. You do not know the language and the social structures of the country but I was never left alone and they were very responsible and in constant contact with me.

I keep very good friendship with the orphanage and the Russian coordinators. I send some things to the orphanage and it makes me feel very good.

I am going to adopt a second child with Faithful Adoption because Gabriel wants a sister.

He is very curious of little babies now, and I will be happy to find a girl from the same orphanage.

"Dear Faithful Adoption, thank you very much for everything, for this happiness I have now with my son."

Please contact me with any questions and support – the more children that will find their families, the better I will feel.
